Info

Alex Kirschstein (born 1995 in Bonn) is an architect, photographer, and researcher based in London. His work merges architectural practice with photography and material research, offering critical perspectives on spatial practices and our understanding of the built environment. Taking a transdisciplinary approach, Alex examines the intersection of architectural form, human experience, and contemporary modes of cultural production.

He graduated cum laude with a Master’s degree in Architecture from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Alex has collaborated internationally with studios in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, and the UK, and has contributed to prestigious events such as the Venice Biennale. In 2024, he received a grant from the Stimuleringsfonds for Creative Industries for Invisible Laboratories, a research project investigating creative studios operating in vacant spaces.

Until recently, Alex was part of the Public Programs team at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU Delft. He is currently based in the UK, where he works at Assael Architecture, while continuing independent research and collaborations with creatives across Europe.
